Installed DB – WindowsServer_x64_11g :

Problem :

“Oracle Database 11g is not certified on the current operating system.”

Solution :

To workaround this problem I’ve decided to edit refhost.xml file adding entry for Windows 7.

In my case it was in the installation folder :

D:\MyDocuments\MyInstallers\Oracle\WindowsServer_x64_11g\win64_11gR1_database_111070\database\stage\prereq\db\refhost.xml

Problem :

The install has detected that the primary IP address of the system is DHCP-assigned.

Solution :

Follow below link to install Microsoft loopback adapter
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/install.111/b32006/reqs.htm#sthref291

Install ToadDBA10.6.1

Went without trouble .

First  entrence to the DB will be with user SYSTEM , password that you’ve defined when installed 11g DB ENTERPRISE . Choose GLOBAL Database Name ORCL .

If no database exists , go to

C:\Users\Tzvi\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\10.6\tnsnames.ora

Insert text

ORCL=
(DESCRIPTION=
(ADDRESS=
(PROTOCOL=TCP)
(HOST= tzvi-pc )
(PORT=1521)
)
(CONNECT_DATA=
(SID=ORCL)
)
)

Solution :

View –> Toad Options – > Executables –>

C:\app\Tzvi\product\11.1.0\db_1\BIN\IMP.EXE (find imp.exe in your system)
